This was very helpful to me today. God has healed me from blood clots in my lungs and emergency stomach surgery in the middle of the night. I am thankful, but struggling with my adult daughters. Please pray that I will remain thankful and in peace. I am resting in the Lord.

The message about contentment is one I have come back to more than once, as I find myself often feeling unsettled about a number of things. I also have struggles with my adult daughters, as Carol wrote, and that is what prompted me to write. Please pray for understanding and insight and for God to move in our hearts toward Him and each other. Thank you. Also, you have been ministering to me through your CDs! You have been keeping me company back and forth to work!

This really struck home for me. While my son was receiving treatment for cancer, I was buoyed by the prayers and love from so many people. After the cancer treatment ended and life went back to semi-normalcy, my mind began to go to dark places: Will we ever get out of this medical debt? Will the cancer come back? Will he be able to handle college or have a family someday? I felt guilt for having doubts about God’s provision. How could I question his sovereignty and mercy when He had already displayed it for us time and time again? My mother directed me to dig into the Word and read about God’s promises. What a difference that made! I was reminded that God is truly faithful to be there for us, no matter if times are turbulent or terrific. Thank you for the post.

What a powerful testimony. When things are looming and questions beg answers, you dug into the Word! Thank you for sharing your story and a glimpse into your life. It is an encouragement to us all as we struggle and strive to cling to the Truth no matter what.
